Mike MacKinnon (1966 - 2000) Born into a musical family, Mike (Mic-Mac) MacKinnon's father Plays guitar while his mother plays piano. Mike's dad took him to see his first Rock & Roll band when Mike was just 9 years old - he never forgot wipeout being played live. Mike developed a love affair with the drum kit and has not looked back. A solid and exciting double bass kit player whose major influences are Neil Peart, Vinnie Appice, Clive Burr, The Beatles and Buddy Rich - Mike took those styles on the road previously with such bands as Midnight, Without Warning, Thin Ice and Hunger. Mike has a personal ambition to one day get his masters Degree in music but in the meantime counts shooting pool and sleeping as his outside interests. (Regretably Mike has since passed away...R.I.P my friend!)
Terry Crosson
At age 13 Terry Crosson realized that playing Voodoo Chile by Jimmy Hendrix on the violin might not open too many doors in the music industry.A guitar player was born! Influenced by Randy Rhoads, Jimmy Hendrixs and Tommy Sholtz, Terry plays a variety of styles including blues, rock, alternative and metal. His listening tastes are just as diverse, citing Van Halen and Dream Theatre as his favourite bands while naming Nuno Bettencourt, Steve Vai and Vinnie Moore as his favourite guitar players. You may have encountered Terry Crosson in such bands as Axis, Rampage or Crystal Myth and will definately not forget his abilities once you have seen him perform.
Andy Narsingh Modest Beginnings - Andy Narsingh played his father's accoustic guitar for a couple of years, then at age 16 a friend's dad let him use an electric bass guitar to jam to Rush's Spirit of the Radio. The rest is history! Andy's funk rock-style of playing is no surprise considering his major influences are Geddy Lee, Stu Hamm and Billy Sheehan. The role of lead vocalist was not something Andy had ever considered prior to 1994. Once you hear him sing you will realize that Geddy Lee had more of an influence on him than just his bass playing. Andy has tremendous respect for the vocal talents of Freddy Mercury but is also a fan of Van Halen and Dream Theatre. Prior to fronting Arsin Andy Narsingh could have been found with the bands: Hunger & Truthful Liars to name a couple. Home | |
